  5.     At the current time (Sept 1992), there are three volumes of Wilstar
  6. Software programs.  They are labeled as Wilstar Software Volumes 1 - 3.
  7. In addition, there are several other Wilstar Software programs that are
  8. not yet included on these 3 volumes.

  10.     If you need to contact the author (Jerry Wilson) of ANY of the
  11. Wilstar Software programs, there are a number of ways to go about it:

  26.     Most of the Wilstar Software line of programs are shareware.  A
  27. couple of them are freeware or have been placed in the public domain.
  28. These programs are clearly marked as freeware or public domain.  Almost
  29. all the Wilstar Software programs can be registered for a $10 registration
  30. fee.  Anyone who registers a program will be sent the Wilstar Software
  31. volume that includes that particular program.  Most likely, the disk will
  32. contain a newer version of the program you register.

  34. Some of the Wilstar Software programs included in one of the three volumes
  35.  include:
  36.     THE WILSTAR ALMANAC -- An almanac, moon phase program with chimes.
  37.     WILSTAR DAILY REMINDER -- Displays reminders at boot w/ alarm.
  38.     WILSTAR TRIVIA BREAK -- A trivia game.
  39.     I-70 EXPRESS -- A truck driving simulation.
  40.     CONVERT IT -- Converts measurements from one unit to another.
  41.     DAYS TO -- Gives the number of days remaining to the next holiday.
  42.     WEEKDAY -- Gives day of week for any date, plus birthday stats.
  43.     MESSAGE MINDER -- Used for leaving screen messages.
  44.     GREETINGS -- Greets you personally at boot up.
  45.     WILSTAR SPELLING BEE -- Great for helping with spelling homework

  47.     Scheduled to be included soon on one of the volumes, but already in
  48. Shareware release on GEnie is the LOOKING BACK program (LOOKBKx.ZIP).  It
  49. displays what happened on today's date in history at boot and can be 
  50. personalized with family or company dates.
  51.     The MOON PHASE WALLPAPER (MOONBMP.EXE) program is not included on
  52. any volume because it is used exclusively with WINDOWS 3.x.  The same 
  53. applies to SPACEBMP.ZIP, which can be found in GEnie ibmpc RT library.
  54. MOON PHASE WALLPAPER is a WINDOWS startup utility that changes the wallpaper
  55. background of windows to display the earth disk along with the current
  56. moon phase.
  57.     The MOONBMP.EXE program can be ordered (or registered) for $7.50.  
  58. The SPACEBMP.ZIP file is free.  If you don't have access to GEnie, send me
  59. $5.00 media, P&H fee and I'll be happy to send it to you.  It is a 
  60. collection of space-related .BMP wallpaper files for WINDOWS.
  61.     One popular public domain program is the FREEDM22.ZIP file that
  62. includes the text of several historic documents of the U.S.  It is menu
  63. driven and also plays 3 patriotic tunes.  Again, it is available on GEnie,
  64. but I will send you a copy of it for the $5.00 media fee.
